INGREDIENTS
Chicken – 1/2 kg cut into medium sized pieces
onions – 2 medium sized slized vertically
ginger – 1 inch chopped into juvillines
garlic – 10 flakes chopped roughly
3 cloves
cinnamon stick – 1/2 inch
1 bay leaf
red chilli powder – 2 tsp
turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
pepper powder – 1 tsp
juice of half a lemon
vegetable oil – 4 tbsp
salt to taste
CHICKEN SUKKA METHOD

To make this easy Chicken Sukka, In a thick bottom kadai, on medium flame, heat the oil and add cloves, cinnamon and the bay leaf till the cloves crack. Add finely cut onions and saute till the onions have a brown tinge.
Add the ginger and garlic and saute for another five minutes. To this add the spices – chili powder, pepper powder, and turmeric powder and saute till the oil separates from the mixture.
To this add the chicken pieces and salt. Saute this till the chicken starts giving out moisture. At this point cover the kadai with a lid and reduce the flame to low.
The chicken should be cooked in 15 to 20 minutes. To this add the juice of half a lemon and let it stay on the burner for another 2 minutes.
Top the chicken with finely chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or rotis!
